The Adventures of Superboy DVD

Kal-El, the original Superboy
Superboy was just Superman as a youth and treated as a junior version of Superman. In his planet (Krypton), his name was Kal-El. He wore the Superman costume and his alter ego Clark Kent, wearing glasses that serve as a disguise for his human identity. The character originally was created without permission from Superman's original writer, Jerry Siegel, a fact which increased an already-growing unfriendly relationship between him and the publisher. The Adventures of Superboy was based on self-titled comic-book Superboy in 1949.
